A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University in Connecticut, Amy received her Bachelor's degree in graphic design. It was soon after starting her career, that Amy quickly discovered she was being steered in a different direction: teaching preschool. It was also along this path that she found she could combine both her love of art and teaching. It was then that inspiration struck. Once again, she found herself changing directions. An avid photographer, Amy combined looking through the lens with the written word; eventually leading to her first published children's non-fiction series titled, The Emily Grace Series. Amy is quick to point out that, "Each book in the Emily Grace series is leveled and specifically geared toward helping children learn to read." Amy also loves to do author and school visits, often bringing Emily Grace along. You can email Amy to request a visit to yours at: firstname.lastname@example.org
When not out photographing the world around her, she can be found with her nose in more than one book at a time. She can also be found working on the next book in the Emily Grace series, as well as the many other children's and young adult books she has hidden up her sleeve. Amy lives in upstate NY with her husband and their three daughters.
